The Las Vegas Sands Corporation wants to expand its brand outside Las Vegas by pursuing a casino license in New York.
New York City recently made headlines by approving three new casino gaming licenses. Two licenses are expected to go to established racinos (MGM, Resorts World), and the third is still up for grabs. However, there is a catch: application fees for the new casino license are USD 1 million.
Casino conglomerates have been vying for a Vegas-style casino in or around New York City for years. Resorts World and MGM are currently the only Vegas-style casinos in NYC. Three upstate casinos were given a seven-year head start after casino legalization was passed by the state in 2013.
While the competition is thick, with billionaires like Steve Cohen and Jay Z lobbying for the remaining license, the Las Vegas Sands Corp. believes they have the perfect location. The Sands Corp. is looking at the property that formally hosted the New York Islanders in Nassau County, about 36 miles east of Manhattan.
The Las Vegas Sands Corp. sold its casino locations in Vegas and now only operates overseas in Singapore and Macao.
Are NY State Licensed Casinos Considered Legitimate?
Yes, all the state-licensed casinos are legitimate. MGM and Resorts World has established racinos in NYC but can only offer horse racing and slots by law.
Since there is no Vegas-style casino strip in NYC, many players turn to legitimate online casinos located outside of state lines. Online casinos have been operating for players located throughout the state of New York since the early 2000s.
You will find all kinds of casino games that pay out real money online including blackjack, slots, video poker, craps, roulette, baccarat, keno, and more.
How Do You Receive Payouts From Legit Online Casinos?
Once you have established your account with one of the fastest-paying online casinos, you can wager on your chosen casino game. When you can withdraw, you can select from various accepted methods, including Bitcoin, altcoins (if accepted), bank wire, Person 2 Person, or other methods the casino offers.
